GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - In the latest weather update from the South African Weather Service, hot weather conditions are expected over Beaufort West, Kannaland, Laingsburg, Oudtshoorn and Prince Albert tomorrow, Saturday, 4 October, which could lead to veld fires.

While the weather looks to be pleasant over the weekend, a cold front is expected on Monday.

A level 1 warning has been issued for strong to gale force north-westerly to westerly winds (50-70km/h) along the coast between Cape Point and Plettenberg Bay on Monday, resulting in disruptions to beachfront activities while small vessels may be at risk of taking on water or capsizing.

A level 2 warning has been issued for rough seas and waves, expected between 4 to 6 metres,  along the coast between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay as the cold front moves through on Monday. 

Spring tide is also likely on Tuesday, possibly enhancing wave heights.
