GEORGE NEWS - The search for the missing Great Brak river man continues along the coastline near Herold’s Bay following his disappearance on Tuesday afternoon.
The ongoing operation follows an earlier incident at Voëlklip near Herold’s Bay, where a vehicle went off a cliff during adverse weather conditions.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies previously confirmed that the man had been reported missing after failing to return home on Tuesday afternoon, 12 May, prompting an immediate search that led authorities to the Voëlklip area.
Spies further confirmed that police divers were deployed along the coastline on Friday morning, 15 May, as the search operation resumed, but no success has been reported at this stage.
Search teams are expected to return to the area tomorrow, to continue efforts.
He urged members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist police in the ongoing search.
