GEORGE NEWS - Dr Richard Blackaby from the United States will be in George on Tuesday and Wednesday, 14 and 15 November as part of his tour of South Africa.
He will deliver lectures on the topics of 'Experiencing God in the family' and 'Spiritual leadership'.
Blackaby and his father Henry are the authors of many Christian books and Bible studies of which the 'Experiencing God' course is world renowned and has been used in many churches over many years.
He will talk about 'Experiencing God in the family' on Tuesday night and on Wednesday morning present training in spiritual leadership with the theme,
'The new generation leader to make a difference during challenging times'.
The leadership training is aimed at all leaders and especially upcoming leaders in the business and church environments.
Dr Francois Carr from Heartcry SA, who is co-ordinating Blackaby’s tour in South Africa, said that the aim is also to identify upcoming leaders in George who might be available for more in-depth training which he will conduct in George next year.
The venue is the Dutch Reformed Church (Moederkerk) in Courtenay Street.
The lecture on Tuesday night is free and starts at 18:30.
The training on Wednesday morning starts at 09:00 and requires a registration fee of R100 that includes light snacks.
