Vorster said it is imperative that a holistic approach to education becomes the accepted norm as this will prevent the ups and downs that play havoc with the psyche of the learners. "It is essential that parent support is more forthcoming as this is a vital tool lacking in some families. Motivation by the family is crucial as it boosts the learner's self-confidence.
"The good grounding that the primary schools in George have laid is an enormous advantage that is appreciated by the high school teachers. Continious evaluation and analysis of the situation will identify potential pitfalls so that corrective measures can be implemented when and where necessary."
