GEORGE NEWS - Golfers will take to the fairways at George Golf Club on Thursday 8 October in support of animals in need when PDSA (SA) George hosts its annual fundraising golf day.
The charity event will get underway with a shotgun start at 12:00 and will be played in a better-ball format with a scramble drive.
Funds raised will support the work of PDSA George, which provides veterinary care and assistance to animals in the community
Organiser Esther van der Merwe said they are looking forward to welcoming back supporters of last year’s event, as well as new participants.
Those wanting to support the initiative can enter as players or fourballs, while businesses and individuals can contribute through sponsorships and prize donations
Entry costs R800 per player or R3 200 for a four-player team and includes the green fee, prizegiving and pizza after the game
The day will also feature prizes, an auction, lucky draws and goodie bags
Several sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from tee and green sponsorships to clubhouse, entrance and vehicle display opportunities.
“We are excited to be hosting our 2026 Charity Fundraising Golf Day and would love to have you join us,” Van der Merwe said
