GEORGE NEWS - Participants were beaming with excitement as they contested the first ever Mr, Miss and Mrs Simon of Cyrene beauty pageant on Friday evening, 26 July in the Conville Community Hall.

All proceeds from the event will go towards building their own church as they are currently operating from the hall. 

Before contestants strutted their stuff down the runway, the crowd was entertained with various and singing dance items on stage.

At the end of the evening Roseline Pretorius was crowned as Mrs Simon of Cyrene. Lee-Anne Koeries was first princess and Beroline Barlow second princess. 

Adilyn Spandiel was crowned as Miss Simon of Cyrene and Hadley Africa walked away as Mr Simon of Cyrene.
