Update
GEORGE NEWS - A total of 13 people were involved in a seven car pile-up on the N2 between the Glentana and Herold’s Bay off-ramps earlier this afternoon.
According to initial information, a vehicle travelling from Mossel Bay to George was hit by sand blowing across the highway due to heavy winds.
The driver was forced to stop, which caused the pile-up.
Two people were hospitalised with moderate injuries while the rest sustained minor injuries.
The scene has been cleared and the N2 has been re-opened for traffic.
