GEORGE NEWS - For the next six days – until Sunday 5 January - visitors may view the classic trains, automobiles and other funky antique gadgets from the forgotten past at the Outeniqua Transport Museum, without paying an entrance fee.
While you’re going for the classics, use the opportunity to also drop by George Museum in Caledon Street and view the Southern Cape Association of Visual Arts (Scava) art exhibition, along with three antique Bentleys and a Rolls Royce parked in the main hall - a sneak peek for the George Old Car Show on 6 February.
The Scava exhibition at George Museum is open until 24 January, while the classic cars will be on display until 10 January.

However, George Museum’s permanent display is enough reason to drop by and show the children interesting relics from the newspaper printing and timber industries.
