GEORGE NEWS - The Pacaltsdorp Community Business Association (PCBA) is set to host its annual charity gala on Saturday 4 October at the Pacaltsdorp Community Hall.
This year’s theme, 'Tropical Glamour Gala 2025', promises an evening of elegance, good food, fun and fundraising.
The association is a non-profit, community-based company that aims to educate and empower deserving learners and/or emerging entrepreneurs.
This is done by assisting them with whatever is required in pursuit of their dreams, whether it is to further their studies or start their own business.
"Last year we were able to give bursaries to two of the top matriculants of Pacaltsdorp High and this year, we're aiming to assist four," says Luwayda Trantraal, chairperson.
"With the remainder of the evening's profits we will continue with our ongoing outreaches in the community. Last year we handed out 20 food hampers to senior citizens in need, did a lunchbox drive among needy learners and handed out 200 meal packets."
The PCBA also offers workshops to teach arts and crafts that help people create an income for themselves.
Tickets for the gala are R300 per person or R2 900 per table of ten and proceeds will go towards PCBA’s community charity initiatives. Guests are invited to arrive at 18:00. The dress code is formal.
