GEORGE NEWS - Each and everyone is invited to participate in an initiative called "Night of a Thousand Drawings", by the Wilderness Art Association.
The drawings will be sold at R100 each on 28 February during the Wilderness Art Festival next year.
All proceeds will be going towards art education for children, in support of the Seven Passes Initiative in Touwsranten.
"Public participation in this charity event is paramount for its success. We are appealing to schools, clubs and the general public to give a doodle to this worthy cause," says Carole Durrant, one of the women spearheading the initiative.
"This is an opportunity to make an impact with a doodle, sketch, drawing, collage, a painting or your own way of expressing yourself, on an A5 piece of paper, canvas or cloth."
She asks that people place their A5 creations in a drop box at Cabesa Gallery in Palms Garden Square in Wilderness, or the Little Art Shop at the Paddagat Centre in Courtenay Street, George, before 25 February 2020.
For more information or sponsorship towards this initiative, contact Durrant on 082 569 0800 or carole@bcreative-design-print.co.za.
