GEORGE NEWS - The popular George July event that was scheduled to take place this Saturday, 26 July at the Bramble Hill International School, has been cancelled due to forecasts of cold and rainy weather.
This popular event is held annually as a fundraiser in aid of the Seven Passes Initiative that does community upliftment in the Hoekwil area.
There is some good news with the bad. The Ambassadors' Dinner and Dance will still take place at the same venue, but has been rescheduled to Saturday 16 August.
Seven Passes director, Sive Vaaltein, said they are disappointed, but are relieved that the dinner and dance can still happen.
"To all our valued ticket holders, thank you for your support. Our team will be in touch with ticket holders within the next few days regarding their ticket purchases."
The dinner and dance promises to be and entertaining and elegant evening of celebration.
Tickets for this event are still available at R250 per person.
