GEORGE NEWS - Two babies, a boy and a girl, were born at George Hospital today, on Leap Day.
The baby boy was born at 03:26, weighing 4, 54 kg to mom Zandiswa Sikateni and dad Eric Takayi.
“I would like to congratulate the new parents and share with them in their joy as new lives have been brought into this world on this very special day. We wish them the very best with the new additions to their families. May they live a long and healthy life. Remember that the first 1 000 days of a child’s life is very important, ensure that they are immunised and provide them with good nutrition and a safe environment," says Western Cape Minister of Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo.
