GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - Not even pouring rain was able to deter Georgians from the 2019 Lights Festival tonight, Saturday 14 December.
Shortly before Mayor Melvin Naik switched on the Christmas lights, the George citizen of the year was announced.

This honor was bestowed upon Colleen Smith from Oudshoorn Dogs In Need (Odin).
Odin is an NPO and Smith and her team work tirelessly around the clock to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need.
Loukmaan Adams entertained the crowd afterwards.
