GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - The Garden Route Birds of Prey Rehab Centre is running low on food and funds to feed the many birds in its care, and now appeals to the public for assistance.
It can cost close to R1 000 per month to feed just one of its big birds - like the majestic eagles and mighty vultures.
With more than eight big birds and over 30 smaller birds currently relying on the centre, the monthly food bill climbs faster than the staff can keep up.
The birds consume about 13kg of meat per month, and every donation - big or small - makes a difference. You can find all the donation options here.
