GEORGE NEWS - Georgians are invited to join in the fun at the Garden Route Botanical Garden this weekend when they are presenting their annual autumn plant sale as well as Sunday Market.
The Garden Route Indigenous Nursery is offering 15% off all plants for this weekend only. The sale starts today, Friday 30 May, from 08:00 - 17:00 and will continue through the weekend. Hours are Saturday from 08:00 to 14:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00.
Stock up and plant indigenous by choosing from a large variety of fynbos and medicinal plants. They also have a wide selection of indigenous trees.
Entry to the popular Sunday Market on Sunday is free and it promises to be a vibrant and fun-filled day, starting at 10:00 and concluding at 14:00.
Skye Gypsy is providing live entertainment and there will be a jumping castle and face painting for the children. Dogs are welcome on a leash.
There will be a host of food stalls with delicious fare, from boerewors rolls, roosterkoek and pancakes to halaal meals, Indian food, soups, jaffles, bubble tea, and more.
Craft and gift stalls will offer a huge variety of local treasures including plants, handmade clothes, soaps, jewellery, art, candles, gnomes, skincare, and unique 3D-printed items.
The Sunday Market is a perfect outing for the whole family.
