GEORGE NEWS - Businesses are reminded of the legal liability workshop for employers being presented in George on Thursday 12 June, under the auspices of the George Business Chamber.
The workshop is in response to the tragic 2024 building collapse in Victoria Street, and the aim is to inform and assist companies in achieving compliance in terms of safeguarding both workforce and businessowners.
Irene Koegelenberg, the chamber’s manager, says specialists in their respective fields will lead the workshop, ensuring that attendees receive top-notch guidance on legal liability matters.
The course is particularly important for businessowners, managers and CEOs who are responsible for maintaining compliance within their organisations.
It is an interactive workshop that brings together a labour lawyer, an insurance broker and a health and safety compliance expert to break down the essentials of legal liability for businessowners.
Attendees will learn how to navigate employment law, choose the right insurance coverage and implement effective health and safety practices.
Speakers from Roos Inc, Mooi Rivier Makelaars, the Department of Labour, and Safety Solutions Africa will share their expertise throughout the day.
The workshop will take place at The Apprentice from 09:00 to 12:00. Canapés and drinks will be supplied during the event.
Only 30 tickets are available at R300 each. RSVP to info@georgechamber.co.za or 044 874 3349.
