GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - Nelson Mandela University's George Campus will host its annual open day, the largest student recruitment event on its calendar, at Mopani Hall from 09:00 to 15:00 on Friday and Saturday, 23 and 24 May.
This two-day exhibition aims to attract school-leavers passionate about nature, society, innovation and leadership, showcasing the campus' diverse academic programmes, including Natural Resource Management, Business & Economic Science, and IT.
Visitors will experience the campus' unique natural setting and vibrant learning environment, with academic support departments like Madibaz Sport and student life services highlighting co-curricular activities.
Milisa Piko, the university's communication and marketing manager, describes the event as a chance to engage future change-makers and to showcase what makes the George Campus special. Piko said the open day strengthens ties with local and regional schools, boosts brand awareness, and attracts top learners seeking a dynamic study environment.
Faculty, students and staff will be available to answer questions and share insights into campus life. Learners from the Garden Route and surrounding areas are invited to explore exciting career paths at Mandela University.
