A Toyota Etios smashed into the back of a Mazda bakkie near the Roadside Deli in Waboomskraal.
The driver of the Toyota, Sindile Mjongile was on his way to George when he collided with Brian Groenwald's Mazda bakkie. Groenewald was also en route to George.
This came after another car - a distance ahead of Groenewald - turned off the main road.
Mjongile was taken to the George Mediclinic with suspected neck and back injuries while one of his passengers was treated for shock. A third passenger was unharmed.
Groenewald, who was not injured in the accident, told the George Herald that he would still be having himself checked out, as he suspected that he had whip lash.
The accident took place at 07:40.
