GEORGE NEWS - The outside broadcast of Algoa FM Radio at George South Primary School on Friday, proved to be an exhilarating morning of fun and interaction between learners and radio presenters. Not even the rain dampened the ball games and high sprits.

This was part of Pick 'n Pay's School Club Inspired by Heroes Programme. Local celebrity heroes, Springbok/Blue Bull rugby player Anton Leonard, local singer Michael Lindt, George town councillor Bevan Fortuin, and Blue Bull team doctor Tommy Smook all brought messages of inspiration and words of encouragement.

Smook said that children should all live their dream and keep on trying until they achieve their goals. Special tribute was paid to the school's heroes who have overcome difficulties and flourished.

The Algoa FM team will be back for an outside broadcast on 18 February for the Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge (OCC). To tune in go to 96,0 FM.
