GEORGE NEWS - "As we look back, and also start the journey forward again, we see God in the finest detail. We cling to Him." These were the words of a broken mother, Nettie Muller, after the tragic and untimely death of her son Joshua (19).
Joshua Muller died on Sunday 2 October after the motorbike he was travelling on, collided with a car.
The accident happened near Nando's, close to the traffic lights at the crossing of First Street and Knysna Road, at approximately 07:55. Joshua died on the scene.
"Preliminary investigation indicates that both vehicles were travelling in the direction of Knysna at the time of the accident. The cause of the accident has yet to be determined," said Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies.

He was much loved
Left with only memories and photos, Joshua's parents remain strong and depend on God to carry them through the time that lies ahead.
"Joshua was loved from the beginning to the end of his journey here on earth. God was his Saviour and that's how he lived - to save and help others. We miss him and will still miss him a lot," said his mother.
"We are deeply grateful for every message, prayer, conversation, hug, food, flowers, arrangements, interest and stories about Joshua's life. God has blessed us with a family of people around us and it carries us and is so precious to us. Joshua is safe with Jesus and in the very best place. And this is our comfort."
He was a keen hockey player who played for Outeniqua High School's first team in matric.
Joshua and his sister Kayla had an extremely close bond.
He was not only a keen hockey player who played for Outeniqua High School's first team in matric, but also volunteered with the Wilderness NSRI Station 23 in his free time.
"Josh was loved by everyone at Station 23, where he made such an impact on all of us, during the time he was part of the crew. Josh was always first to put up his hand to serve, volunteering for any task. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this saddest of times. Rest in peace," reads a post on the NSRI's Facebook page.
Joshua matriculated last year and spent 2022 working on a farm near Stanford. The high school's hockey director, Kirk Mendoza, described him as a faithful young man and an incredible child.
"He lived his passion for the Lord, his school and his sport with praise. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends," he said.
A memorial service will be held at Tramonto Venue in Geelhoutboom this Saturday, 8 October, at 11:00.
