GEORGE NEWS - On Saturday 1 April, the Garden Route Botanical Garden will be hosting an open day for all residents of George from 07:30 in the morning until 17:30 in the afternoon.
As a Public Benefit Organisation, the Garden Route Botanical Garden will host its annual open day where the communities of the greater George can, at no charge, visit the garden as well as the Birds of Prey Sanctuary Rehab Centre within the garden.
The free entrance includes parking for the Park Run, so you could save up to R90 on the day. Normal rates are R20 entrance fee to the garden, R60 to Birds of Eden, and R10 for Park Run parking. Pop in to see the nursery and the Marshmallow Café, the only places you will be required to dip into your wallet for the day.
You are welcome to bring along your dog(s), but please adhere to the rules regarding leashed and leash-free areas, and bring a bag to clean up after your pet.
