GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality continues to appeal to the residents of George to USE WATER SPARINGLY and ONLY FOR NECESSITIES - the RESERVOIRS remain critical. Without your co-operation the network will take longer to stabilize.
The George Municipality has this afternoon been forced to implement rebalancing of the water system.
The areas that have all had water for the past four days (since Monday 23 November) have been switched off. These include:
- Blanco,
- Heatherlands,
- Heatherpark,
- Glenbarrie
- Kingswood,
- King George Park,
- Rooirivierrif
- Thembalethu,
- Kraaibosch,
- Blue mountain,
- Glenwood
- Ballotsview,
- Parkdene,
- Conville
- Borchard,
- Lawaaikamp,
- Proteapark,
- Loerie Park,
- Eden
The Civil Engineering Services Department will continue to monitor until the reservoirs have recovered enough before opening full network again.
NOTE: Thembalethu, Pacaltsdorp, Herold’s Bay and Oubaai have sufficient water reserves not to require water tankers.
