GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality will be collecting green and blue bags today and the rest of the weekend, including Sunday, to address the backlog still being experienced following an unprotected strike and other factors.
If your refuse is usually collected on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and your blue and green bags have not been collected on the usual collection day, you can leave the blue and green bags out for the weekend. This also applies to businesses that put out blue and green bags on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The usual Friday refuse removal schedule for black, green and blue bags continues as per usual.
