GEORGE NEWS - The 2017 drive of the cancer organisation Pink Trees for Pauline started nationwide, and this year the community of George will be mobilised like never before.
The George Vryburgers and wholesale abattoir Roelcor have joined forces and challenge the George business community, other organisations and the public to support this project and raise funds for the cancer community of George.
Pink Trees for Pauline aims to create awareness, unite communities and raise funds to ensure access to cancer treatment for all people afflicted with all types of cancer.
Cansa has raised more than R600 000 for cancer patients through this initiative. National Head: Service Delivery Gerda Strauss says the income raised from the 2016 campaign is being set aside for patient accommodation during cancer treatment, home-based care nursing, feeding schemes for cancer patients, the training of social workers and also for supplying wigs, prostheses and wheelchairs.
The signature pink material can be bought at R25 per meter at Roelcor, Cansa, Tiger Wheel & Tyre, House of Turquoise, the NG Moederkerk and Happy Feet crèche. You can also contact Anel on 044 874 2340 or 084 569 8305.
Contribute your first R25 for a metre of pink material and challenge your neighbours, colleagues, family and friends to wrap your trees, pillars, fence and even your business in pink.
