NSRI grateful for Spar sponsorship

GEORGE NEWS - NSRI Station 23 Wilderness recently handed over a certificate of appreciation to Gustav Hofmeister, owner of Wilderness Spar and Wellington Street Spar George.

Wilderness Spar has sponsored the Full Moon Beach Run for three consecutive years. This event, held annually in December, is organised by Chain Gang Events and is a fundraiser for NSRI Wilderness.

"The event previously had no sponsor, so all the food and beverages needed to come out of the sale of entry tickets, leaving us with very little profit," said Robert van Helsdingen, NSRI convenor of the event.

"Since Spar has come on board with their sponsorship it has completely changed the dynamics of the event. Having everything delivered by Spar on the day has also helped tremendously with the logistics."

Hofmeister thanked the NSRI crew for their service to the community and pledged Spar's ongoing sponsorship towards the Full Moon Beach Run.
