GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Are you wanting to do something constructive to help with the global environmental crisis, but feel the problem is too overwhelming and you are not sure where to start?
Join hands with the Landmark Foundation that has developed the Green Ambassador Programme, an innovative environmental education programme venturing into the app space which is both fun and instructive, connects learners to the natural world, and is full of ecological knowledge.
In this app, they guide learners through a series of projects that are done at home with the family.
The projects focus on the 'process' - which is the key learning experience as it teaches about biodiversity, waste, food gardens, ecosystems, compassion and care. Although aimed at Grades 1-7, the app encourages whole families to live in a more ecologically sustainable way by changing habits.
Participants collect stars at each challenge and they must complete one to unlock the next one.
On completion of all the challenges, participants will receive a Green Ambassador certificate. The app is free and it is a great project for the school holidays.
The challenges are in line with global goals for sustainable living.

The app is not on Play Store yet, but plans are to make it available there too.
