GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Motorbike riding gear worth approximately R150 000 was stolen during a break-in at Lynn Schroeder Motorrad at 05:30 on Saturday morning, 23 June.
Three male suspects gained access to the shop through a side glass door of the motorbike showroom floor by breaking the glass and forcing open the security gate.
The alarm was activated, but the suspects managed to flee the scene with various jackets and riding gear before security arrived. A white Opel was allegedly used as their getaway vehicle.
"It seems as if they knew exactly what they were looking for. From the CCTV footage we can see that it took them about 30 seconds from gaining access and taking the stock to getting out effortlessly. We have noticed some suspicious characters coming into the shop recently. People who were just browsing around without buying anything," said Motorrad sales executive, Jason Botha.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
