GEORGE NEWS - Learners are gearing up for the Eden Karoo Eskom Expo for Young Scientists regional competition this weekend on 29 and 30 July at Outeniqua High School.
"We are all looking forward to seeing the innovative ideas and research the learners have done," said regional admin assistant Sonet Strydom.
The public may view the projects on Saturday 30 July from 12:30.
"We are hopeful that many learners will showcase their scientific research and ideas on this one-of-a-kind platform which will expand the minds of young future scientists, offers tertiary opportunities and opens doors for entrepreneurship," said Strydom.
"We wish them all good luck and hope that learners from our region will be chosen to participate in the International Science Fair in October."
Strydom thanked all the donors who provided prizes, the judges, Outeniqua High School for the venue and the educators, parents and regional committee for their commitment to ensure a successful event.
