GEORGE NEWS - The South African Police Service and Community Police Forum (CPF) will launch the campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Women and Child Abuse" today, 24 November at the Zone 9 Community Hall.
All community-based organisations and the entire community of Thembalethu are invited to attended the campaign, which will start at 10:00.
The government and all other stakeholders have chosen this period of 16 days to fight all types of crime against women and children.
Stakeholders who will be part of the event are:
• Ithemba Lobomi;
• Youth Desk;
• the departments of Social Development, Education, Justice, and Transport and Public Works;
• Disabled People of South Africa;
• Sanca;
• Ministers Fraternal;
• neighbourhood watches;
• tavern owners;
• senior citizens;
• Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offence Unit (FCS) and
• Western Cape Youth Forum.
