GEORGE NEWS - The Department of Home Affairs in George is offering extended working hours and mobile services in identified areas until 1 November.
The hours are as follows:
- 18 - 22 October from 08:00 till 17:30
- 23 - 24 October CLOSED (Saturday and Sunday)
- 25 - 29 October from 08:00 till 17:30
- 30 - 31 October from 08:00 till 16:00 (Saturday and Sunday)
- 1 November from 07:00 till 19:00
The Department of Home Affairs George office is delivering only the following services on Adjusted Level 1 Lockdown:
1. Issuance of Temporary Identity Certificates (Bring 2 ID photos).
2. Application of Smart ID Card and Green book ID applications for all
categories.
3. Green ID Book and Smart Card ID card collection for all categories.
4. Application and collection of passports for all categories.
5. Unabridged application for birth, marriages and death.
6. Registration of marriages will be undertaken at all DHA George Office
on appointment basis.
7. Re-issue of birth, marriages and death certificate.
8. Birth registration at both George Hospital and DHA George office.
9. Late registration of birth.
10. Death registration at DHA at George office.
11. Citizenship: All citizenship functions, except for naturalisation.
