GEORGE NEWS - An antique bicycle was allegedly stolen from an 81-year-old resident’s property in Ladismith between 16 and 18 May.
According to him the theft took place while the local municipality and other construction companies were busy repairing a burst water pipe in his back yard.
The bicycle was stored in a plastic bag inside a wooden shed of which the door was open.
On 18 May the owner discovered that the bicycle was missing. The only found the plastic bag in which it was wrapped.
He suspect the construction company’s whose workers are from George could be involved in the theft.

- Pure steel black colour German frame
- Names on bicycle “ Miele” “Hoechst High Chem”
- Front wheel tyre: Black and brown
- Back wheel tyre: Black
- Both wheels fitted with mud guards
- Bicycle in an excellent working condition
