Fire lines are cold. Cape Nature will continue to monitor the area during this final phase.
NORTH-WEST OF JONKERSBERG / MTO
Mopping up of area being done and to be continued throughout the evening and morning hours.
SPITSKOP / DUBBELBERG
Wildfire contained. A ground recce confirmed that the cold weather which persisted over the weekend resulted in a hot spot/line to be declared contained.
GARCIA PASS
Area being monitored while in its final stage of monitoring.
DIEPWALLE
Wildfire is contained. A burn-out of old vegetation was conducted today by SANParks.
The only active area is that of Jonkersberg, within the perimeter of a burn-out conducted. Intensive mopping up operations are being done.
