GEORGE NEWS - A Holy Cross Primary School Grade 4 learner, Elize van der Schyff, decided it was time to have her beautiful hair cut because she had been a princess long enough, and she wanted to be a fairy godmother who turned somebody else into a princess.
She donated her hair to make a wig for another little girl who has no hair at present because of cancer treatments.
Elize has not had a serious hair cut in over nine years and her hair was 90cm long. She donated 50cm to Cansa.
Elize is very happy with her new haircut and excited that some other little girl will feel beautiful with a wig.
She received a certificate of appreciation from Cansa for donating hair to the "Kindest Cut Campaign".
After: Pleased as punch. Elize with her new haircut and the 50cm of hair she donated to Cansa. With her is the hair stylist, Abby Hogan.
Elize received a certificate of appreciation from Cansa.
