GEORGE NEWS - A fire that broke out at a business in town earlier this morning was quickly contained.
Videos and photos of the fire at the back of Best Fit Glass, on the corner of Meade Street and Nelson Mandela Boulevard, circulated on social media before 06:00.
Comment from George Municipality is being awaited on the incident.
Although the building appears to be in good form, signs of the fire are visible at the back of the building, and in the ashy colour of the soil at the parking bay.
An update will follow when more information becomes available.
