GEORGE NEWS - In preparation for the festive season, the Fancourt staff and members have been working tirelessly to spread happiness over the season.
They have pledged to donate 150 Santa Surprise boxes to George Child and Family Welfare (GCW). The boxes, which will be filled with a variety of items including a toy, stationery, clothing and a special treat, will be handed to GCW on Friday 21 December.
Members of the public are welcome to participate in the initiative by either donating boxes themselves, or making cash donations that will be used to purchase the items for each box.
A limit of R250 has been set for each gift package to ensure fairness to all children and gift packages should reach the Fancourt Hotel reception by Friday 14 December.
"The festive season is a season for giving and for us at Fancourt that means that every child will get to experience the joy of Christmas by opening an individually packed and festively decorated gift package," said Georgie Davidson, CEO of Fancourt. "It's about giving back and reaching out to the community. Knowing that we contribute to making this festive season a little brighter for children is why we do this."
