GEORGE NEWS - The dancers of Elvinia's Dance Academy have had a busy 2018 and ended the year on a high with four full-house performances of the ballet The Two Pigeons at the Oakhurst Insurance George Arts Theatre.
The year started off with Royal Academy of Dance examinations in March, which yielded 14 distinctions.
In July the intermediate class were treated to a trip to Port Elizabeth to see the Russian ballet. In September the Port Elizabeth Eisteddfod culminated in four double gold, five gold, four silver and one bronze medals.
In October the dancers were included in Fancourt's Classic Concert Series, A Classical Fantasy. Principal Elvinia Manuel, who makes it her mission to bring out the best in each dancer, is looking forward to 2019 and wishes all her dancers a wonderful festive season.
