GEORGE NEWS - Local car dealership, Lynn Schroeder BMW suffered a great loss with the recent death of three employees.
George Herald reported this week that the dealership’s principal, Raymond Botha (64) passed away on Saturday 19 December after contracting Covid-19 two weeks ago. It has since become known that two other employees also passed away after contracting the virus.
According to informed persons, several employees of the dealership are currently hospitalised due to the virus.

"It is with sadness that BMW George learnt of the passing of our colleagues. Our hearts and thoughts are with their loved ones and family during this extremely difficult time.
"Our colleagues' passing is a tremendous loss for our dealership family, in addition to everyone who knew them, and we will continue to support our staff and their families were necessary. Out of respect for the privacy of our staff, their families and those who were tested we cannot divulge private or individual details.
"We can confirm that when a positive case is reported, the required and necessary Department of Health procedures were followed, both in terms of required contact tracing, necessary self-isolation and treatment as well as the necessary sanitization and deep cleaning of our premises.
"Covid has and continues to have a devastating impact on our broader community and in this current climate nothing is more important than the health and safety of our employees, customers and community and we will continue to do whatever is within our power to proactively and responsibly act to safeguard them."
