GEORGE NEWS - A whopping 1,2 kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of R720 000 was confiscated last week from a property in Wellington Street.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, detectives from the Western Cape organised crime unit, in conjunction with Outeniqua K9, obtained a search warrant to enter and search the premises on Wednesday afternoon, 19 October.
"The person of interest is still to be arrested and the police investigation is underway," said Spies earlier this week.
By the time of going to print, the suspect who is a known high flyer, was still on the run from police.
