• Carols by Candlelight
Carols are a great way to get into the Christmas cheer. Visit the gorgeous Garden Route Botanical Gardens on 18 December for festive Carols by Candlelight and a wonderful sense of community.
Enjoy the Christmas spirit through music and the story of Christmas. Bring a picnic basket and your own blanket or chairs.
Redberry Farm’s popular annual Carols by Candlelight event is on 21 December and is always a joyful and enjoyable outdoor country evening.

• Live Concerts and Shows
The Bush Lapa at Herolds Bay Eco Resort once again have a remarkable line-up of events this season, taking place from 11 to 30 December 2021. Artists are set to provide top entertainment for the holidays.
Check out Jack Parow on 17 December, Die Heuwels Fantasies on 19 December, Demi-Lee Moore on 20 December, Elandre on 21 December, Jakkie Louw on 22 December, Fatman on 23 December, Juan Boucher on 27 and 28 December, Francois van Coke on 29 December, Jo Black on 30 December and Prime Circle on 3 January.
Cornerstone Creek in Hoekwil are also hosting popular musicians such as Joshua na die Reën and others, starting from 18 December until 3 January. Bottomless Coffee Band are performing on 22 December, Prime Circle on 2 January and Jesse Clegg on 3 January.
They will rock your socks off! Jesse Clegg fans can also book tickets for an incredible performance at Fancourt on 28 December.
Art in the Park is also taking place at Cornerstone Creek on 20 and 21 December. Enjoy pottery, sculpting, painting, drawing and live local artists.
The George Arts Theatre are bringing the enchanting fairy-tale story of Rapunzel to life, from the 6 to 19 December. The Gardens are also hosting a fun outdoor movie night for young and old, on 21 December.
• Sports
At Kingswood Golf Estate, the US Kids Garden Route Local Tour is happening on 20 December. Open for all junior golfers from age 5 to 18 years old, participants can earn Priority Status - the only way to qualify for the World Championship in Pinehurst, the European Championship in Scotland, the Venice Open in Italy and all the U.S. KIDS GOLF International Majors.
Runners can look forward to the Pacaltsdorp Night Race on 27 December, an event for everyone with a fun run and 10km starting at 18:00, as well as the Red Men Trail Run on the 8 January at Herold Wines.

To get that festive feeling, make sure to get shopping at Christmas markets such as the Moederkerk Kersmark from 10 to 22 December and the Boerevintage Gift Market from 16 to 22 December.
Other fairs include the Nightlife & Night Market at the Garden Route Botanical Gardens on 10 and 29 December and the Hoekwil End of Year Market on10 December.
