GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Join our MOVEMBER Challenge to raise money for a 16 year-old boy that has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing treatment!
What is MOVEMBER?
“During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.”
Fundraiser Rules and arrangements:
An image of all participants in your company and / or of yourself (if you are taking part as an individual) should be sent to office@rgprok.co.za, including the names of all. This image will appear on the special Movember Gallery page of The Mossel Bay Advertiser and George Herald.
Each participating Company and or individual can select their own initiative to raise funds (see hints below)
There are 2 categories:
- Most Funds Raised (individual / Company)
- Best Mo (individual)
Entries should be sent to office@rgprok.co.za, after which you will receive an e-mail with your entry and reference number.
Final images to be submitted on the 30th of November 2018.
Participants will get together on the 30th of November, 15:00 at the Rauch Gertenbach offices in both George and Mossel Bay for a beer and a boerie, for the announcement of the winners and totals funds raised.
Rules to “Grow-the-Mo” :
On the October 31st, the complete moustache region, including the entire upper lip and the handlebar zones, must be completely shaved.
For the entire duration of Movember (Movember 1st – 30th inclusive), no hair shall be allowed to grow in the goatee zone – being any facial area below the bottom lip.
There is to be no joining of the moustache to sideburns.
Failure to conform to all of these rules may, at the discretion of the ‘official Movember Committee’, result in instant penalties and may result in many negative comment and banter from other Movemberees.
Movember Committee accepts no responsibility for lost jobs, rashes, food/beer encrustments or any other such mishaps caused to the wearer (or his partner) of a Movember Moustache. You grew it yourself ....
