BUSINESS NEWS - Position available: Manager

Location: George

Are you a professional, detail-oriented individual (aged 30–50) passionate about precious metals, bullion, and diamonds? We are seeking a Manager to oversee store operations, lead a team, and uphold our brand's high standards.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the consultant, daily store operations, gold purchases and sales
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Purchase, test, and sell precious metals, bullion, and diamonds with precision
Perform reconciliations, EFT payments, and petty cash management
Ensure accurate stock records, end-of-day cash-ups, and immaculate store presentation
Drive sales, meet team targets, and initiate marketing ideas
Handle social media leads and client queries promptly and professionally
Verify clients as per the company’s RMCP and maintain compliance

Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

Education: Grade 12 with Mathematics (certificate required – Mathematics Literacy is not valid, unfortunately)
Experience: Proven retail management experience (precious metals / jewellery preferred)

Skills:

Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in MS Office and Outlook (Xero will be advantageous)
Excellent numerical, organizational, and time management skills
Presentable, honest, dependable, and detail-oriented
Willing to work Saturdays (9:00–13:00) and overtime as needed
Ability to pass a background check (no criminal record)
