Store manager Henri Bester thanks all the loyal customers and staff for their patience during the months of renovations last year. "Our customers are our family," he says. "Here all of us are family."

Bester started his career at the Heather Park Superspar nine years ago, when he had just finished matric. After starting off working at the Burger Bar, he climbed the ladder to take the reins as store manager.

Other staff members who have been rewarded for their loyalty and dedication are three former merchandisers, Zoleka Soldzti, Jonathan Appels and Stantonay Claasen, all of whom are now part of the management team, working along with Malcolm September and Ricardo Kaptein.

Kitchen manager Annemarie Titus has stars in her eyes when she talks about the new food offerings and exciting recipes.

Employed at the store for the last eight years, Titus says it's an inspiration to prepare the vast variety of foods that suit the new look of the Heather Park Superspar.

A Breakfast Buffet Bar welcomes early risers with a selection of hearty choices, conveniently next to the brand-new coffee shop in the "grab and go" corner. Quiches, English muffins, fruit smoothies and freshly squeezed fruit juices are some of the healthy offerings customers can expect.

The well-known Burger Kiosk at the entrance feature some new lines as part of the revamp, including milkshakes, freezochinos and slush puppies.

The Why Not temptation bar offers freshly made pancakes, smoothies, donuts and waffles, while the in-store home meal replacements provide a variety of fresh, healthy options for crazy or lazy days. Choose your own pizza at the new Pizza & Pasta Bar, or indulge in Thai green curry, fried noodles, spring rolls and dim sum at the new Thai Ying section.

Suzette's frozen desserts offer a selection of eight cheesecake flavours, sold in individual or bulk portions. These delights are made in Plettenberg Bay and contain only natural fresh ingredients, such as Lancewood cream cheese and cream, with no added preservatives. Heather Park Superspar has a vast array of foods available in their hot and cold food deli sections. Its Sunday lunch is still a favourite, with some new developments on the cards for later in the year.

At the famous sushi bar, customers can enjoy a sensational sushi feast, prepared daily with a selection of traditional and exotic deep-fried options.
