Having been voted the Best Tile Shop for the previous two years, adding Best Tile and Flooring Company in 2024, this nomination speaks to the excellence of our products and our service.
Our inspiration
Giovanni Ravazotti, founder of the Italtile group - of which CTM is a vital part - continues to inspire us to work passionately. Coming to South Africa from Italy more than 50 years ago, he was astounded by the limited choice offered to South Africans to beautify their homes, and decided to be the change by importing stylish Italian tiles himself.
Italtile group – 54 years later
Fast forward 54 years, the Italtile group - through his hard work, passion, and vision - is now the biggest in the business. Italtile consists of three retail brands, CTM, Italtile and Top T. The group also has an integrated supply chain that supplies to us and our competitors.
Our journey
Our CTM George journey started in 2009. Notwithstanding droughts, fires, economic challenges, and a pandemic, our customers have supported us through thick and thin, and we are very, very thankful to them.
We always strive to provide them with the best service, best quality and best products at the most affordable prices - as is expected from our brand! In 2013, due to the growth of our brand in George, we relocated to our new, bigger building opposite Kraaibosch Estate.
This was the best move we could have made. It allowed us to stock a wider range and provide our customers with a beautiful shopping experience and ample parking. Thankfully, our existing customers stuck with us, new customers joined us and friendships have been formed over the years.
Our staff
Our company’s priority is customer service. Our staff members mainly contribute to the business it is today, each bringing their unique personalities, skills, and work ethic to the table. We are so grateful to our dedicated staff, who make it their mission to make our business a success, bringing their A game to work, day in and day out.
