The workers, affiliated to the United Association of South Africa (Uasa), are planning to strike at airports throughout the country.
Comair operates for domestic airline kulula and British Airways.
They were not able to reach an agreement with management, with talks facilitated by the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).
Uasa’s Jannem Goussard said, “We do plan to run some picketing at the various airports around the country. I think we’re just hopeful that we can reach an agreement as soon as possible.”
Workers are demanding a 35 percent increase over three years but Comair is only offering a 22.5 percent increase.
