GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality confirms that the planned shutdown required for the Pacaltsdorp West Reservoir and Pump Station tie-in did not proceed on 11 November as initially scheduled.

The essential connection of the new 315mm HDPE pipeline to the existing water infrastructure has now been rescheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, 25 and 26 November.

Residents of Pacaltsdorp (East and West), Dellville Park, Rosedale and Erf 325 East are advised that temporary water supply disruptions may occur during this period as part of the infrastructure upgrade.

According to the project team, work will be undertaken between 07:00 and 17:00, with short-term interruptions expected but no prolonged outages anticipated. Mitigation measures, including the use of alternate supply lines and ensuring the water tower is full at the start of the work, will be applied where possible.

The municipality thanks the community for their cooperation and understanding during this important infrastructure improvement project.
