Update

GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality is undertaking repairs to the intersection of Madiba and Knysna Road following the collapse of a sewer mainline.

Construction period

• Thursday 29 January
• Monday 2 February
• Tuesday 3 February

During the construction period, temporary traffic disruptions are expected.

The municipality will make every effort to notify residents and businesses in advance of any scheduled interruptions via its official social media channels, website, and other communication platforms.

As part of the road repairs, the Madiba and Knysna Road intersection will be closed.

• Date: Thursday 29 January, Monday 2 February and Tuesday 3 February
• Time: 15:00 - 24:00.
• Affected area: Glenwood and Saasveld

Alternative routes

Knysna Road to Madiba Road via 5th, Rijk Tulbagh Street and Zondagh Street.
