GEORGE NEWS - To date, more than 95% of George’s electricity supply has been restored after the storm that hit George on Monday 11 May.
Update on restorations planned for today
- Wilderness- Erica, Dinie, and Berg Streets lines - Repairs ongoing, no ETR
- Heatherlands: Myrtle Street – restoration plan for today
- Protea Park- Bundle line in the squatter camp to be repaired when resources become available
- Victoria Bay: M. Lammers Antiques, Vodacom tower, and Overdale B&B. Excavation and medium-voltage repairs are in progress. No ETR available.
- Woodlands Farm, restoration continues today
- Boschkloop Riool Pumpstation - Teams will be on site today for repairs -No ETR yet.
- Syferfontein Informal Settlement & Katdoring Close, Nu Dawn – Work in progress
- Zone 4 – restoration work in progress
Fully restored
- Power restored in 8th Ave, Wilderness
- Heather Park- Fully restored
