Update

GEORGE NEWS -  The latest dam level update, supplied by George Municipality on 28 April: 

Garden Route Dam Level

• Dam level: 47,23 %  (Compared to 49,24% on 21 April) 
• Rainfall: 15 mm (Measured from 22-28 April)

Water supply left: 19 weeks

This includes only water that can be pumped and treated. Water below intake/treatment level is excluded.

• Current daily demand: 38.1 million litres/day 
• Target daily demand: 36 million litres/day

Haarlem Dam Level

• Dam level: 12,67 % (Compared to 13,25 % on 21 April)
• Rainfall: 13 mm (Measured from 22-28 April)

Residents are warned that if water consumption does not reduce, George Municipality has advised that it will have to introduce stronger restrictions and possibly higher costs may apply. Saving now prevents tougher measures.
