Update
GEORGE NEWS - The latest dam level update, supplied by George Municipality on 31 March:
Garden Route Dam Level
- Dam level: 52,92 % (Compared to 55,89% on 24 March)
- Rainfall: 10,20 mm (Measured from 25-31 March)
Water supply left: 22 weeks
This includes only water that can be pumped and treated. Water below intake / treatment level is excluded.
- Current daily demand: 36.4 million litres / day
- Target daily demand: 36 million litres / day
Haarlem Dam Level
- Dam level: 16,80 % (Compared to 20.21% on 24 March)
- Rainfall: 18 mm (Measured from 25-31 March)
Residents are warned that if water consumption does not reduce, George Municipality has advised that it will have to introduce stronger restrictions and possibly higher costs may apply. Saving now prevents tougher measures.
