What a surprise it was to see a passenger train entering George Station, filled with excited commuters ready for the journey ahead. For the first time since 2010, passengers are traveling by rail between George and Great Brak River on a diesel-powered train, owned and operated by Atlantic Rail and Ceres Rail. The train, consisting of 10 carriages and able to accommodate up to 350 passengers, departs from George Station on 5, 11 and 12 July, with departures at 09:00 and 14:00. The scenic return trip takes approximately 3½ hours.
